Refuge Mera Lodge is a mountain guesthouse for trekkers and climbers, located in the village of Khare along the route to Mera Peak (6,476 meters / 21,247 feet), the highest trekking peak in Nepal. The lodge sits at an elevation of about 4,800–4,900 meters (15,750–16,075 feet) above sea level in the Solukhumbu District of Koshi Province, eastern Nepal. According to the operator, Refuge Mera Lodge was founded by Sherpa guide Thile Sherpa to support expeditions to Mera Peak and nearby trekking routes.
The lodge offers accommodation and meals, gear rental and sales, guide and Sherpa services, and a fully equipped base camp. Facilities include standard twin rooms with electric blankets, a dining hall, and a terrace with panoramic mountain views. On-site amenities feature a cozy café and bakery (“Mera Barista Bakery Café”), a mountaineering gear shop, and an equipment rental point. For safety and convenience, the lodge typically provides satellite communication (Thuraya), paid Wi-Fi, oxygen cylinders, and first aid kits.
