Dubai Marina is a modern, upscale neighborhood in southwest Dubai, UAE, built around an artificial harbor stretching about 3 km along the Persian Gulf coastline. Located roughly 22 km southwest of Downtown Dubai, it is one of the world’s largest man-made waterfront developments. The Dubai Marina project was designed and developed by Emaar Properties; construction began in the early 2000s and continues as the area grows. According to the master plan, the district will ultimately include more than 200 skyscrapers — residential, commercial, and hotel towers.
Among the most notable high-rises are The Marina Torch, Princess Tower, and Cayan Tower. Many of these buildings exceed 300 meters; Princess Tower, at 414 meters and 101 floors, is the second-tallest residential building in Dubai and ranks among the tallest residential towers globally. The neighborhood is home to Dubai Marina Mall, the popular JBR Beach, and a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, boutiques, hotels, and scenic waterfront promenades. Thanks to its striking architecture, large yacht marina, and extensive infrastructure, Dubai Marina is considered one of Dubai’s most prestigious and tourist-friendly areas.
