The small village of Jinzong is located in Taidong County of the Republic of China on the southeast coast of Taiwan, 33 kilometers north of Taidong City. The village is famous for its more than 3 kilometers of dark pebble beach, picturesque scenery, rolling hills, rocky coastline and coral reefs. Water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, sailing and yachting are popular here. Jinzong is one of the best surfing destinations in the Republic of China, the village has gained much notoriety for its popular annual surfing competition in Taiwan.
