Rundle Mall is a pedestrian shopping street located in the central business district of Adelaide. Stretching west to east from King William Street, as a continuation of Hindley Street, to Pulteney Street, it was officially opened as a pedestrian mall in September 1976. Since then, it has become one of the city’s most important streets and a major retail hub.
The mall is home to some of Adelaide’s most valuable real estate and largest shopping complexes, along with a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, and boutiques. Licensed street performers, approved by the Adelaide City Council, often entertain visitors near the shopping centers. All shops and malls along Rundle Mall are open seven days a week, making it a lively destination at any time.
