The Double Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) is located in Sydney, Australia’s largest city, in the state of New South Wales on the country’s southeast coast. Nestled in the suburb of Double Bay, just 3.7 km (2.3 miles) east of Sydney’s Central Business District, the club is one of the world’s leading centers for ILCA (Laser) class racing. Each week, more than 50 sailors — from first-time beginners to world champions — take part in races on the iconic waters of Sydney Harbour.
Founded in 1956, the Double Bay Sailing Club has grown into an integral part of Sydney’s sailing community. Run entirely by volunteers, it operates out of a historic wooden clubhouse in Steyne Park. Members share a strong passion for sailing and a commitment to improving the club, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere both on and off the water.
