Leavenworth is an old picturesque resort city, which rebuilt into a Bavarian village in the mid—60s. It well know its buildings in German and Alpine styles. Leavenworth located at the southern foot of the North Cascades National Park in Chelan County in the state of Washington, 210 km east of Seattle. The city is known for many annual festivals, the most popular of which are: Bavarian Ice Festival in January, Maifest in May, Autumn Leaf Festival in September and the Christmas Lighting Festival in December.
The Rhein Haus restaurant offers a large selection of German cuisine, wine and cask beer. Guests can try fried chicken, chicken sausages, schnitzels, pretzels, donuts, and there is a separate children’s menu for children. The interior of the restaurant is made in a traditional Bavarian style, and its highlight is a luxurious fireplace.
