Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, well know just as SpaceX, is a large American corporation specializing manufacturer, launch service provider, defense contractor and satellite communications. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and to colonize Mars.

The spaceport of SpaceX is located near the village of Boca Chica on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in south Texas, near the border with Mexico, and 35 km east of Brownsville.

The Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 launch vehicles, the Dragon 2 reusable manned spacecraft, and Starlink satellites are launched from this spaceport to provide high-speed broadband satellite Internet throughout the Planet.

The company plans to launch manned spacecraft to Mars. On the territory of this complex there is an assembly shop where the Starship spacecraft is assembled and tested. SpaceX Spaceport is the most expensive spaceport in the world, its cost was $ 100 million.
