The Atlantic Avenue (Portuguese: Avenida Atlantica) is a major ocean promenade in Rio de Janeiro stretches along the entire Copacabana Beach, it is 4 km long and about 150 m wide.The promenade has many shops, restaurants and hotels, including the luxurious Belmond Copacabana Palace. Along the entire Atlantic Avenue there is the bike lane and famous the Portuguese pavement, designed as a black-and-white waves pattern.
