Muizenberg Beach Live Webcam, Cape Town
This live webcam provides real-time views of Muizenberg Beach in Cape Town, South Africa.
Muizenberg Beach is a wide, sandy beach located in the coastal suburb of Muizenberg on the southeastern shore of Cape Town, along the bay of False Bay in the Indian Ocean. It is one of the most popular beaches and surf spots in the region. The area combines Victorian-era historic buildings with well-developed tourist infrastructure. The beach can be easily seen from the Cape TownโSimon’s Town railway line, and the heart of the suburb is located near Muizenberg Station.
The beach is covered with fine, light-colored sand. It stretches for about one kilometer, and at low tide, its width reaches up to 100 meters in some areas. Muizenberg is known as the “surfing capital” of False Bay. Its famous section, Surferโs Corner, hosts surf schools, board rentals, and related services. In addition to surfing, visitors enjoy kitesurfing, windsurfing, swimming, beach volleyball, and family-friendly activities thanks to the gentle slope and sandy seabed.
Muizenberg has a Mediterranean climate, typical of the southern coast of the Western Cape Province. Summers are warm and dry, while winters are cool and rainy. The sea breeze helps moderate daytime temperatures in summer, and the water in False Bay is generally warmer than on the Atlantic coast, making swimming and water sports possible for most of the year.
