Anse Gaulettes Beach is located on the islandโ€™s eastern coast, just south of Anse Patates Beach. It is a long, picturesque stretch of white sand offering breathtaking views of the nearby islands of Fรฉlicitรฉ and Marianne. Due to strong waves, underwater currents, and the presence of rocks and sharp corals, swimming here can be dangerous. For safety, reef shoes are recommended. About a 10-minute drive away lies the world-famous Anse Source dโ€™Argent Beach, renowned for its giant granite boulders and crystal-clear turquoise water.

La Digue โ€” the fourth-largest island in the Seychelles archipelago โ€” covers an area of about 10 square kilometers (3.9 square miles) and has a population of roughly 3,000 residents, most of whom live in the La Passe area. The islandโ€™s history is closely tied to the French colonization of Seychelles in the 18th century. It was named after La Digue, the ship of French explorer Lazare Picault. Like the rest of the island, Anse Gaulettes retains its rich cultural heritage, reflected in local farming, fishing, and traditional crafts.

The climate on La Digue is tropical, with warm weather year-round and two main seasons: dry and wet. Air temperatures range between 24ยฐC and 30ยฐC (75ยฐFโ€“86ยฐF), creating ideal conditions for a beach holiday at any time of the year. The rainy season lasts from November to March, while the dry season runs from May to September. A constant sea breeze keeps the climate pleasant even on the hottest days. Anse Gaulettes is loved by travelers for its secluded atmosphere, scenic coastal views, water activities, and local Creole cuisine โ€” especially dishes made with freshly caught seafood.
