Lisbon Falls is an impressive waterfall on the Lisbon Creek, situated in the northeastern part of Mpumalanga. With a drop of about 94 meters (308 feet), it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the province. The falls are located just north of the town of Graskop, along the scenic Panorama Route β€” a popular tourist drive known for its many natural attractions, including Berlin Falls, God’s Window, Wonder View, and the Blyde River Canyon.

A convenient viewing platform and parking area are available for visitors, and most tourists enjoy the view from the upper observation point. There are also unofficial trails leading to the base of the falls, but they can be steep and hazardous β€” the descent is not maintained and may be closed for safety reasons. Visitors are advised to follow local guidelines and stay on official paths.

During the dry season, the water flow may decrease, but after rainfall β€” especially in the summer months from December to February β€” Lisbon Falls becomes a truly spectacular sight. The waterfall is a favorite spot among photographers and nature lovers.
