Grantley Adams International Airport (IATA: BGI, ICAO: TBPB) is the only international airport in Barbados, located in the Seawell area of Christ Church parish, approximately 13 kilometers (about 8 miles or 42,650 feet) east of Bridgetown, the islandโs capital. Named after Sir Grantley Herbert Adams, Barbadosโ first Prime Minister, the airport is a key gateway for tourism and a central hub for the islandโs economy, offering regular flights to the United States, Europe, and other Caribbean destinations.
