Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (IATA: ATL, ICAO: KATL) is the main civilian airport serving Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It is located about 11 kilometers (7 miles) south of downtown Atlanta.
One of the busiest airports in the world, Hartsfield–Jackson handles over 104 million passengers each year, with more than 898,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings annually. The airport serves both domestic flights across the United States and international routes to North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The airport has two terminals—the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal—both housed within a single large building complex. The Domestic Terminal manages flights within the U.S., while the International Terminal handles all overseas arrivals and departures.
