Grand Teton National Park is located in northwestern Wyoming, USA, approximately 11 kilometers (7 miles) south of Yellowstone National Park. Covering an area of about 130,000 hectares, or roughly 1,300 km² (502 sq mi), the park includes the northern portion of the Jackson Hole Valley and most of the dramatic Teton Mountain Range, one of the most recognizable alpine landscapes in North America.

The park takes its name from Grand Teton, the highest peak in the range, which rises to 4,199 meters (13,776 feet) above sea level and towers nearly 2,100 meters (6,890 feet) above the floor of Jackson Hole Valley. These steep, jagged peaks rise abruptly from the valley floor, creating iconic panoramic views that are frequently featured in Grand Teton live webcams, photography, and nature documentaries.

Together, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park form the core of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, a vast and largely intact natural region covering approximately 7.3 million hectares, or about 73,000 km² (28,200 sq mi). This ecosystem is one of the largest temperate ecosystems on Earth and supports diverse wildlife, including bison, elk, moose, wolves, grizzly bears, and bald eagles.

Today, Grand Teton National Park ranks among the most visited national parks in the United States. Visitors are drawn year-round by its spectacular mountain scenery, alpine lakes, and abundant wildlife. The park offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, photography, kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing.
