Wrigley Field is a historic baseball stadium located on Chicagoโ€™s North Side, in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Lakeview. Opened in 1914, it is the second-oldest active Major League Baseball (MLB) stadium, surpassed only by Fenway Park in Boston. Originally called Weeghman Park, the venue was later renamed after William Wrigley Jr. acquired the team in the 1920s.

Since 1916, Wrigley Field has been the iconic home of the Chicago Cubs. The stadium is world-famous for its ivy-covered brick outfield walls, the manually operated scoreboard installed in 1937, and its classic urban setting. A unique local tradition allows fans to watch games from rooftop seats on surrounding buildings, making the experience unlike any other in MLB.

Today, Wrigley Field seats approximately 41,000 fans. From 2014 to 2019, the ballpark underwent a major renovation known as the 1060 Project, which modernized seating, video boards, and fan amenities while preserving the stadiumโ€™s historic character.

Beyond baseball, Wrigley Field also hosts concerts, soccer matches, and special sporting events. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains one of Chicagoโ€™s most beloved landmarks and a must-visit destination for sports fans and visitors alike.
