Puebla (Spanish: Puebla), officially known as Puebla de Zaragoza, is the largest city and the capital of Puebla State in south-central Mexico. With a population of approximately 1.5 million residents and a total area of more than 546 kmยฒ (211 sq mi), Puebla is one of Mexicoโ€™s most important urban centers. The city anchors the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Mexico, after Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, with a combined population exceeding 2.6 million people.
