Camden is a city and the county seat of Camden County in southern New Jersey, located on the eastern bank of the Delaware River directly across from Philadelphia. As part of the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area, Camden combines an urban riverfront setting with close proximity to one of the largest cities in the United States. The city is home to approximately 73,000 residents and covers an area of about 26 km² (≈10 square miles).

Camden is well connected to Philadelphia and the surrounding region. The Benjamin Franklin Bridge provides direct road access across the river, while major highways such as Interstate I-676 and Route 30 link the city to regional destinations. Public transportation is served by the PATCO Speedline rail system, and seasonal ferry service also operates across the Delaware River, offering a scenic commute.

The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and relatively mild winters. Average July temperatures are around 24°C (75°F), while January averages about 1°C (34°F). Precipitation is spread fairly evenly throughout the year, and winter snowfall is usually light and short-lived.

Camden’s waterfront is home to several well-known attractions. Highlights include Adventure Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the region; the USS New Jersey Battleship Museum & Memorial; and Wiggins Waterfront Park, a popular riverside space offering panoramic views of the Delaware River and the Philadelphia skyline.
