Erie International Airport (Tom Ridge Field; IATA: ERI, ICAO: KERI) is located on the eastern shore of Lake Erie, approximately 8 km (5 miles) southwest of downtown Erie and about 206 km (128 miles) north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The airport is named after Tom Ridge, former Governor of Pennsylvania and the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. It serves as a key transportation hub for northwestern Pennsylvania, offering scheduled flights to destinations including Charlotte and Chicago.
The airport has two runways: a primary asphalt runway measuring 2,560 meters (8,420 feet), suitable for most commercial airliners, and a secondary runway of 1,069 meters (3,508 feet) for general aviation.
