The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is one of the most iconic landmarks in Las Vegas. It is a roadside sign standing 7.6 meters (25 feet) tall, designed in the classic Googie architectural style popular in the southwestern United States. The sign is located in the median of Las Vegas Boulevard South in the town of Paradise, within Clark County, Nevada.

The front of the sign reads “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas”, greeting visitors as they arrive, while the reverse side displays the message “Drive Carefully. Come Back Soon.” Although the sign welcomes travelers to Las Vegas, it is technically situated in Paradise, approximately 6.4 kilometers (4 miles) south of the official Las Vegas city limits.

The sign was installed in May 1959 at its current location, where it has remained ever since. It marks the official southern end of the Las Vegas Strip, the famous southern section of Las Vegas Boulevard known for its high concentration of luxury hotels, casinos, shopping centers, restaurants, cafés, and nightclubs. The sign features bright neon lighting, creating a striking visual display, especially after dark.
