Sardinera Bay is a scenic coastal inlet located on the eastern side of Fajardo, at the northeastern tip of Puerto Rico, near Ensenada Honda Bay, one of the islandโ€™s largest and most protected natural harbors. The bay is just 2 km (1.2 miles) from downtown Fajardo and approximately 60 km (37 miles) east of San Juan, making it easily accessible yet remarkably tranquil.

The surrounding coastline is known for its powdery white-sand beaches and crystal-clear Caribbean waters, with Seven Seas Beach standing out as one of the regionโ€™s most popular and family-friendly destinations. Calm conditions make the area ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and recreational fishing.

Sardinera Bay is strategically positioned between SunBay Marina and Puerto del Rey Marina, the largest marina complex on Puerto Ricoโ€™s eastern coast and a major gateway to the Caribbean. From nearby Fajardo Harbor, regular ferries connect travelers to the islands of Vieques and Culebra, world-renowned for their untouched beaches, coral reefs, and protected marine environments. Just minutes away lies Laguna Grande, one of Puerto Ricoโ€™s famous bioluminescent bays, where microscopic organisms illuminate the water after dark.

About 20 km (12 miles) inland, visitors can explore El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Sardinera Bay is conveniently reached via PR-3 and PR-194, making it a prime location for boating, beach escapes, and eco-tourism on Puerto Ricoโ€™s east coast.
