Lake Washington is a popular recreation area for both Seattle residents and visitors. Its shoreline features beaches, scenic waterfront promenades, and numerous biking and walking trails. The lake also hosts cultural events and water-based sporting activities. Nearby are residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and cultural landmarks, including parks and museums.
