May Park is a modern cultural and recreational park located along Leningradsky Avenue. It officially opened on October 19, 2019, after a large-scale redevelopment project carried out under the “Comfortable Urban Environment” program. The idea of creating the park came as part of a city initiative to improve urban infrastructure and enhance residents’ quality of life. The area along Leningradsky Avenue was chosen for revitalization, and in 2019 construction began to transform it into a welcoming public space for people of all ages.

May Park offers a wide variety of leisure and entertainment opportunities. It features children’s playgrounds with slides, swings, carousels, and figures of popular cartoon characters; sports areas with pull-up bars and outdoor fitness equipment for active lifestyles; as well as walking alleys and winding paths surrounded by greenery. Visitors can also enjoy scenic viewing spots with swings that overlook the Northern Dvina River, providing a peaceful setting to take in the natural landscape.

Special attention was given to landscaping and preserving the natural environment. Different species of trees and shrubs were planted, benches and trash bins were installed to keep the park clean, and green areas help create a comfortable microclimate that shields visitors from city noise and pollution. Since its opening, May Park has become a popular venue for citywide events, festivals, and celebrations. Thanks to its well-planned infrastructure, it regularly hosts sports competitions, cultural programs, and family gatherings, attracting both locals and visitors to Arkhangelsk.
