Lakhta Center is a multifunctional complex serving as the central headquarters of PJSC Gazprom, and it holds the distinction of being Europe’s tallest and northernmost skyscraper. It is located on the northern shore of the Neva Bay in the Gulf of Finland, in the western part of Saint Petersburg’s Primorsky District, at 1 Vysotnaya Street.

The complex comprises five structures: the Lakhta Center skyscraper, a multi-purpose building (MPB) ranging from 7 to 17 stories, the main entrance arch, a building and facility complex (BFC) ranging from 2 to 13 stories, and a stylobate. The total area of the complex spans 570,000 square meters. In addition to Gazprom’s headquarters, it houses offices for companies and banks, scientific centers, a sports club, and an amphitheater.

The centerpiece of the complex is the 462-meter-tall skyscraper, topped with a spire. The Lakhta Center tower is the tallest structure in Saint Petersburg and the second tallest in Russia, following Moscow’s Ostankino Tower, which stands at 540.1 meters. The tower is prominently visible from the shores of the Gulf of Finland, including Vasilyevsky Island, and from the city’s historic center.

The complex’s key attraction is the Lakhta 360 observation deck, located on the top floor at 360 meters, offering a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of Saint Petersburg. The webcam broadcasts the view of the city’s historic center from the Lakhta 360 deck. On clear days, you can see the Gazprom Arena football stadium on Krestovsky Island, the Yacht Bridge, Yelagin Island in the Neva Delta, and the Park of the 300th Anniversary of Saint Petersburg.
