Victory Square is the city’s main square, located in the very center of Severodvinsk between Plyusnina and Sovetskaya Streets, directly in front of the main façade of the House of Shipbuilders (formerly the Palace of Culture named after the Lenin Komsomol). The House of Shipbuilders was constructed in the early 1960s in the Stalinist Empire style and today houses a sports complex with a swimming pool and an auditorium seating 660 people. In the middle of the square stands a monument to Vladimir Lenin, erected in 1988.
Victory Square is one of the key public spaces of Severodvinsk, serving as the main venue for large city events. It hosts New Year celebrations, Maslenitsa festivities, and public gatherings on major holidays, including Victory Day on May 9 and City Day on the last Sunday of July. Behind the House of Shipbuilders, opposite the square, lies the scenic Veterans’ Park, a popular spot for walking and relaxation among both residents and visitors.
