The Svetlogorsk Promenade, stretching 1.6 km along the Baltic Sea, is the city’s main attraction and a hub of tourist activity. This scenic waterfront seamlessly blends modern leisure spaces with rich historical charm. Visitors can enjoy cozy cafés and restaurants, lush park areas, benches with stunning sea views, and free Wi-Fi. A highlight of the promenade is the “Zodiac” sundial, a Guinness World Record holder for its remarkable precision. Next to the sundial, a mosaic-covered sphere explains how to use it, while an information board displays the current time, date, and weather conditions.

The historic section of the promenade draws visitors with its well-preserved landmarks from both the Soviet era and the time of East Prussia. One of Svetlogorsk’s iconic symbols is the “Nymph” sculpture, a pearl-encrusted figure created in 1938 by German sculptor Hermann Brachert. Another must-see is the bronze “Undine” sculpture, one of the most photographed spots in the city. The promenade is also home to the renowned “Yantar Hall” concert venue, which hosts a variety of shows, festivals, and performances featuring famous artists.

Svetlogorsk is one of the most popular resort destinations in the Kaliningrad Region, celebrated for its pine forests, elegant 19th- and early 20th-century German architecture, numerous attractions, and mild, pleasant climate. Visitors are also drawn to the local Baltic cuisine. Located on the northern shore of the Kaliningrad Peninsula, just 35 km northwest of Kaliningrad, Svetlogorsk is easily accessible by train, bus, or car from the regional capital.
