The Aleksandr Zryachev Embankment is one of the most beautiful places in Severodvinsk and a popular spot for walking and leisure. Located along the shore of the White Sea, it stretches parallel to Primorsky Boulevard and Severnaya Street in the northern part of the city. The embankment was first established in 1982 on the initiative of Aleksandr Fyodorovich Zryachev, a native of Severodvinsk, an honored shipbuilder, and director of the Zvezdochka ship repair yard from 1972 to 1992.

The embankment was developed alongside the construction of nearby residential neighborhoods. In 1998, a granite memorial stone was installed here in honor of Captain Richard Chancellor, the English explorer who opened the sea trade route between England and Muscovy. In 2006, the embankment was officially named after Aleksandr F. Zryachev, and a commemorative monument—a ship propeller blade—was installed in his honor. Running the length of the embankment is the city’s main beach, covered with golden sand.

Today, the Aleksandr Zryachev Embankment is considered one of Severodvinsk’s key landmarks and is especially popular with both locals and visitors. This live webcam is mounted on a high-rise residential building at 12 Primorsky Boulevard, overlooking the embankment, the White Sea shoreline, and the boulevard below.
