Intersection of Nikolai Ostrovsky Street and Zvezdnaya Street Live Cam, Astrakhan

The intersection is located in the Sovetsky District of Astrakhan. Nikolai Ostrovsky Street is one of the city’s longest arterial roads and plays an important role in local transportation. Zvezdnaya Street stretches for about 3,886 meters, also running through the Sovetsky District. The crossroads is situated in the northeastern part of Astrakhan, where Nikolai Ostrovsky Street changes direction from northeast to southeast. The surrounding area features residential buildings, shops, service centers, educational institutions, and, until recently, the former amusement park Planeta.

The Planeta amusement park was once the largest entertainment park in Astrakhan, located at the corner of Nikolai Ostrovsky and Zvezdnaya Streets. Covering an area of about 24,000 square meters, it was a popular destination for family recreation in the city. The park featured more than twenty attractions, including a Ferris wheel, carousels, slides, and trampolines. Visitors also enjoyed a mini-zoo, relaxation areas, cafés, a lobby bar, and dedicated playgrounds for children. Planeta stood out for combining rides and entertainment with green spaces for leisure walks. In August 2023, the park was permanently closed following a tragic incident.
