David Pashaev Square is one of the largest public squares in Severodvinsk. It is designed as a traffic roundabout at the intersection of Morskoy Avenue and Lomonosov Street in the southwestern part of the city. The square is surrounded by high-rise residential buildings arranged in a semicircle, with a sculptural and memorial composition titled “Peace and Labor” installed at its center in 1988.

Nearby, visitors will find a parking area and a small park, as well as Lake Teatralnoye located not far from the square. The roundabout itself was formed in the 1980s as part of the city’s new residential development with multi-story apartment buildings.

Originally named Shipbuilders’ Square, it was renamed in 2010 by decree of the mayor of Severodvinsk in honor of David Guseynovich Pashaev — Hero of Russia, Honorary Citizen of Severodvinsk, and longtime General Director of the city’s main industrial enterprise, Sevmash. Pashaev is remembered for preserving Sevmash and its workforce during the difficult 1990s following the collapse of the Soviet Union, ensuring the survival of the city’s core industry.
