The Bratsk ART Theater and Concert Center (MAUK “TKC Bratsk-ART”) is a municipal cultural institution and one of the city’s main cultural venues. It hosts concerts, theatrical performances, festivals, holiday celebrations, creative programs, and exhibitions. The center is housed in a building constructed in 1982, which has become a key part of Bratsk’s cultural infrastructure. It is located in the city’s Central District at 28 Lenina Avenue. The facility is fully accessible for visitors with limited mobility, featuring ramps, wide entrances, and designated seating areas.
The center first opened on July 18, 1982, as the House of Culture for Power Engineers. Over time, it was transformed into a multifunctional cultural complex, and in 2012 it was officially renamed Bratsk-ART. For its 40th anniversary in 2022, the venue underwent a major renovation that included upgrades to the stage, stage mechanics, lighting equipment, and lobby interiors. The building has a total area of 9,920 m² and includes a 1,003-seat auditorium, a 474.6 m² theater lobby, a two-level foyer, a ticket hall, a winter garden, and a fireplace hall. An outdoor square next to the center serves as a venue for citywide events.
Bratsk ART hosts about 200 events each year, attracting more than 280,000 visitors annually. Its program includes concerts, plays, film screenings, city and regional festivals, exhibitions, fairs, lectures, forums, and large public celebrations held on the adjacent square. The center also rents out facilities for private events, corporate parties, and conferences. Several creative groups and studios are based here, including the folk ensemble of Russian song “Vasiliki,” the vocal ensemble “Molodost Bratska” (Youth of Bratsk), the vocal group “Trubadur,” and others.
