Kazan Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, is one of the largest churches in Saint Petersburg and the main cathedral of the Saint Petersburg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. Designed by architect Andrey Voronikhin, it was built in 1811 to house a revered copy of the miraculous Icon of Our Lady of Kazan and was consecrated the same year.

Located on Nevsky Prospect in the heart of Saint Petersburg, Kazan Cathedral is just one kilometer from Palace Square and the Admiralty. In front of the cathedral, Kazan Square is situated between Kazan Street, Nevsky Prospect, and the Griboyedov Canal Embankment.
