The Church of the Joy of All Who Sorrow is an active parish of the Russian Orthodox Church located in the workers’ settlement of Gorodishche in the Volgograd Region. It is part of the Volgograd Diocese and serves as an important religious and cultural center of the community. The church stands in the central part of Gorodishche and is visible from various points in the settlement as well as from the nearby Moscow Highway. Gorodishche itself is situated on the Mokraya Mechetka River, about 15 kilometers northwest of Volgograd.

The church was built in the late 19th century in honor of the icon of the Mother of God known as Joy of All Who Sorrow. The building was designed in the Byzantine style with elements of ancient Russian architecture. It is the only church in the Volgograd Region constructed in the Byzantine style. The parish regularly holds worship services, baptisms, weddings, and memorial services. In addition, the church community is actively involved in charitable, social, and educational activities typical of parish life in the region.
