Lenin Square is the main square of Astrakhan, located in the heart of the city along the southern wall of the Astrakhan Kremlin, between Admiralteyskaya and Trediakovskogo Streets. At the center of the square stands a 17-meter-tall monument to Lenin, erected in 1958. It is one of the city’s earliest monuments. The square is paved with granite slabs and cobblestones and features numerous fountains and various sculptural compositions.

Lenin Square is a key part of the city’s historic center. Within a few minutes’ walk, you can reach attractions and points of interest such as the Astrakhan Embankment, Swan Lake, Bratsky Garden, the Alley of Glory of the Astrakhan Land, and the 1st of May Embankment. The square is also one of the main venues for public events in the city, hosting celebrations and New Year festivities. Additionally, it is one of the most popular spots in Astrakhan for walking, relaxing, and enjoying the city’s atmosphere.
