The Triumph Arch in Astrakhan is a modern architectural monument built in 2017 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Astrakhan Governorate. It was reconstructed based on the designs of the original wooden arch, which stood in Astrakhan from 1871 until the 1980s and was initially erected to mark the visit of Emperor Alexander II.
The new arch is made of reinforced concrete and faced with Iranian marble, with inlays of Karelian granite. It stands 15 meters tall. The Triumph Arch is located on the Alley of Glory of the Astrakhan Land, along Governor Anatoly Guzhvin Avenue in the Kirovsky District of the city. Nearby, 14 bronze busts honor distinguished natives of Astrakhan.
