The Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ is an active Orthodox church located in the central part of Bratsk. The idea for the parish was conceived in the early 2000s, with the parish officially established in 2001. Construction of the new cathedral began in the mid-2000s; different sources cite the building period as spanning roughly from 2005 to 2011. As construction progressed, the cathedral became the center of diocesan life in Bratsk.
