Yuri A. Gagarin Square, also known as Nagorny Square, is located in the Nagorny neighborhood of Biysk. This modern park has become a popular spot for both residents and visitors. The square was created in 2021 as part of the “Urban Environment” program. Previously, the area had no organized recreational space, making the creation of the square an important development for the local community. During the landscaping process, extensive work was done, including planting greenery, installing lighting, and building infrastructure for leisure activities. Decorative metal fencing surrounds the square, ensuring visitor safety, especially for children, given the proximity of nearby roads.

Since its opening, Yuri A. Gagarin Square has become a favorite place for relaxation in Biysk. The park features various areas for recreation and entertainment, including playgrounds and sports facilities for children of different ages, walking paths, and green spaces. Quality lighting makes the square comfortable for evening visits. In 2022, the square was recognized by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Utilities of Altai Krai as the best urban improvement project completed in 2021 under the “Urban Environment” program.
