Inzhenerny Pond is an artificial body of water in northern Dmitrov, serving as a popular recreation area and beach for locals. Located on Inzhenernaya Street in the former precast concrete factory settlement, the pond was created for industrial or quarry purposes, though its exact origins are undocumented. Today, it hosts Dmitrov’s main city beach.
In 2023–2024, the pond was officially designated as an approved swimming area in the Dmitrov District. Extensive upgrades were completed, including a multi-level wooden boardwalk along the shore, a decorative fence separating the beach from the sidewalk, a bike path, lighting, and surveillance cameras. The area now features lounge chairs, swings, benches, landscaped greenery, restrooms, a lifeguard tower, and more.
