The Biysk City Administration is the executive authority of Biysk, an urban district in Altai Krai, Russia. It is responsible for strategic city management, coordinating local self-government bodies, implementing municipal policies, and maintaining public order. The current Administration building was constructed in the 1970s as the City Executive Committee (Gorispolkom). It is located on Petrovsky Boulevard along Lenin Street, in the city’s administrative center, at 250 Lenin Street. Together with the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the building of the City Administration defines the architectural character of Biysk’s historic center.
Next to the City Administration is TSUM, a multifunctional department store located at 250/1 Vladimir Lenin Street. The store opened in 1977 in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution and became the city’s largest retail complex. In 2017, on its 40th anniversary, TSUM underwent major renovations: its façade and interior were modernized, giving the building a contemporary design. The department store occupies three floors and includes a parking area for approximately 35 cars.
