Located on the shores of the Gulf of Finland in the historic Lakhta district of the city’s Primorsky District at 1 Vysotnaya Street, the Lakhta Center is a multifunctional business complex. It includes a tower, a multi-purpose building (MPB) ranging from 7 to 17 stories, a main entrance arch, additional buildings from 2 to 13 stories, and a stylobate. The centerpiece of the complex is the headquarters of PJSC Gazprom.
The total area of the complex spans 570,000 square meters, with 300,000 square meters dedicated to office space. The complex features a planetarium, a 7,000-square-meter scientific and educational center, a panoramic two-level Russian cuisine restaurant on the 75th and 76th floors of the tower, the Lakhta 360 observation deck on the top floor, a sports complex, and conference halls. The Lakhta Center project was designed in 2011 by RMJM, with interior designs crafted by the European firm Exclusiva Design Srl.
The complex’s primary structure is a 462-meter-tall skyscraper, including its spire, notable for its high energy efficiency due to advanced technologies. The Lakhta Center tower is both the northernmost and tallest skyscraper in Europe. On its top floor, at 360 meters, the Lakhta 360 observation deck offers panoramic views of the Gulf of Finland and Saint Petersburg.
