Playa de los Cristianos is one of the two sandy beaches in the resort town of Los Cristianos on the southwest coast of Tenerife, part of the Canary Islands in Spain. Located in a small bay of the Atlantic Ocean near the port, it stretches 300 meters in length and 100 meters in width.
The beach features fine golden sand, contrasting with the natural black volcanic sand found elsewhere on Tenerife. The sand was imported from West Africa to create a more appealing tourist environment. Playa de los Cristianos is well protected by a breakwater, ensuring safe swimming and ideal conditions for family beach activities.
The beach is equipped with various amenities, including sunbed and umbrella rentals, showers, changing rooms, and toilets. Nearby, there is a scenic promenade with numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes offering local and international cuisine. A fountain powered by the Atlantic Ocean waves is located in the center of the promenade.
