South Beach (Южен Плаж) is located in the southern part of Primorsko, near the Devil’s Bay (Dyavolski zaliv), and directly borders the town center. The beach stretches for nearly 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles) and varies in width from 25 to 169 meters (approximately 82 to 554 feet) depending on the section. It is covered with fine golden sand, and dunes can be seen in certain areas.
South Beach is well-equipped, offering paid zones with sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as showers, changing cabins, and lifeguard towers. With its gentle slope into the sea and calm waters, it is particularly suitable for families with children. Its proximity to the town center makes it easily accessible and very popular among tourists.
Primorsko is situated on the Black Sea coast at the foot of the Strandzha Mountains in the Burgas Province of Bulgaria, about 45 kilometers (28 miles) south of Burgas. The town’s historic center lies on a small peninsula that divides the coastline into two bays, home to the North and South beaches. Nearby attractions include the Ropotamo and Arkutino nature reserves and the Beglik Tash archaeological complex.
The marina in Primorsko is located along the Black Sea and serves as a starting point for boat trips and fishing tours. It offers a variety of sea excursions, including rides on boats and yachts. Fishing trips are also available, along with small boat rentals for independent coastal exploration.
