Porto Cervo is an upscale resort in Italy, created by architect Luigi Vietti in the 1960s on the northeastern coast of Sardinia. Porto Cervo is the central and largest resort of the Emerald Coast (Costa Smeralda), a 55-kilometer (34-mile) strip of northern Sardinian coastline where the world’s wealthiest vacation. Porto Cervo features an exclusive yacht club that attracts the world’s richest individuals, and nearby is a dock for the repair of luxurious yachts of billionaires. Porto Cervo is also home to the Cala di Volpe hotel, featured in the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me.” According to CNN, one night at this hotel costs $33,000.
